  The Cutting Edge Grinding and Supply Co. sells plastic cutting sticks that are specifically

manufactured and machined to close tolerances for accurate fit and are made from specially

formulated thermoplastic compounds.

  The proper balance of hardness and elasticity in cutter sticks

provides self-healing characteristics that prevent premature grooving-out of the cutter sticks and

reduces the tendency of the sticks to pack with dust.

  Selecting the proper plastic cutting sticks will improve cut quality and quantity between

stick changes while extending blade life between resharpening.  Incorrect cutting stick choices can

result in prematurely dull or nicked paper knives.

CUTTING STICK GRADES:

 

STANDARD -

    This grade is a High Density Polyethylene, usually Green or White in color.  This grade of cutter

stick is the most popular for general use with all grades of paper cutter knives.  It is accurately

machined to fit the cutter tables and is available cut to length or in full 118" bars.

 

PREMIUM-

    Usually Gray or Blue in color, these Heavy-Duty Polypropylene cutting sticks are intended for

 hard use in high volume cutting applications.  They are very abrasion resistant and easy on knife

 blades.

 

ORIGINAL RED-

    These PVC cutter sticks are Red in color and are very popular in the flat stick designs such as

the Polar Squiggle sticks.  Hundreds of thousands of these sticks have been used for decades in

Polars with great results and loyal return customers.

 

WHITE NYLON-

    These hard, Cast Nylon plastic cutting sticks are very dense and specifically suited to the many,

many cuts and pounding common in the Muller Martini and Kolbus three knife trimmers.

 

CLEAR -

    Clear in appearance, these plastic cutting sticks are extremely durable blended polymer sticks

intended as a step above premium sticks.
